“Its not possible” – Tottenham captain, Heung-min Son rejects Jurgen Klopp recent statement targeted against the Spurs team

Following a 3-1 triumph over Burnley, the Reds find themselves atop the table, albeit with their modern-day rivals and reigning champions Manchester City close behind, just two points adrift with a game in hand. Meanwhile, Arsenal also lurks two points behind Liverpool after a commanding 6-0 victory over West Ham.

In the wake of Liverpool’s victory against Burnley, manager Jurgen Klopp refrained from discounting Tottenham’s chances in the title race. Despite being eight points adrift, Spurs secured a dramatic 2-1 win over Brighton.

Reflecting on the competition, Klopp remarked, “I know it’s every week. You add in Tottenham, who got a big win today. Aston Villa play tomorrow. They are all in the mix and Arsenal. Two weeks ago, we had the perfect squad situation. Two weeks later, we are short in each area. Like, wow. It all can happen. We all need luck to get through it, when you don’t have that you have to fight through it.”

When questioned about Tottenham’s aspirations of catching up with the frontrunners after their victory over Brighton, Tottenham captain Son responded, “Not at all. We are doing our best from our position and [what is] expected of us. There are so many contenders. There are so many favourites. Man City, Liverpool is flying now. From our position, we want to give our best and at the end of the season we are where we take it.”
