“I will leave this summer because of Postecoglou” – Tottenham star explains the reason for his disagreement with the Spurs manager

Speculation swirls around the potential departure of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg at the end of the season.

The Danish international finds himself out of favour at the North London club, prompting discussions about his future as he seeks regular playing time. According to reports from the Italian outlet Il Bianconero, Hojbjerg’s departure in the upcoming summer transfer window is deemed ‘certain’ if manager Postecoglou remains at the helm.

Despite his undeniable quality, the 28-year-old has seen limited opportunities under the Australian coach this campaign. With only six Premier League starts to his name, Hojbjerg’s talent warrants more consistent game time.

He doesn’t align with Postecoglou’s tactical approach, departing from the logical step for both the player and the club. While Serie A giants Juventus have shown interest in acquiring his services, any potential move hinges on the negotiation of his transfer fee.

Hojbjerg has established himself as a Premier League stalwart over the years, notably thriving under former Tottenham manager Antonio Conte. His versatility and skill set make him a desirable asset for numerous top-tier clubs, leaving his destination up in the air.

At the pinnacle of his career, Hojbjerg can ill-afford to languish on the sidelines week after week. Tottenham would be wise to capitalize on his market value during the summer transfer window and reinvest in a player better suited to their preferred style of play.
