“He overlooked him since he became the Club manager” – Mikel Arteta called out for mistreating longtime serving Arsenal striker

A recent report has disclosed why Arsenal star, Eddie Nketiah should part ways with Arsenal following Mikel Arteta’s decision to overlook him in favour of Kai Havertz for the Gunners’ recent FA Cup clash against Liverpool. Despite Gabriel Jesus’ absence due to injury, Nketiah was sidelined, raising questions about his future at the club.

Arteta’s choice of Havertz to lead the line didn’t yield favourable results, as the German player struggled in the match, contributing to Arsenal’s overall poor performance in front of goal. The team created numerous chances that Nketiah, had he been on the pitch, might have capitalized on.

In a discussion on the ‘It’s All Kicking Off’ Podcast, Chris Sutton, a former Chelsea and Celtic star, expressed his opinion on the matter, suggesting that Nketiah should seriously contemplate leaving the Emirates Stadium in light of Arteta’s recent decision. Sutton emphasized the message sent to Nketiah, questioning his future at Arsenal if he is not considered the primary option as a central striker.

Sutton stated, “If I’m Eddie Nketiah, I’m wondering how I’m benched and I don’t have a future at Arsenal if I’m not starting as a central striker. He’s desperate, I get that, but what message does that send to Nketiah if Havertz is at number nine? If I’m Nketiah, I think I can’t stay at Arsenal any longer if you play a guy who has been affected and has shackles on. Come on, he has no future at Arsenal.”

Amidst speculation linking Nketiah with a potential move to Crystal Palace in the upcoming January transfer window, the 24-year-old forward may be contemplating his options, especially considering the recent developments and the perceived lack of opportunities at Arsenal.
