Arsenal moves to sign Real Madrid’s top striker as huge offers is announced to lure the player to the Emirates

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz this summer. Arteta is preparing a significant offer to entice Real Madrid into selling the talented player, a move that could enhance Arsenal’s formation and performance. The potential transfer could be financed by selling a £30 million-rated player from the current squad.

Arsenal has made remarkable progress over the past two seasons, thanks to their bold transfer strategy. Despite finishing second to Manchester City in the Premier League for two consecutive years, Arteta has plans to elevate the team further.

Last season, Arsenal also reached the Champions League quarter-finals but were narrowly defeated by Bayern Munich over two legs. Arteta and sporting director Edu are determined to address these fine margins to ensure the 2024/25 season is even more successful for the club and its supporters.

TEAMtalk reports that Arsenal intends to make at least three significant signings this summer. Their priority list includes a new midfielder, a left-sided defender who can play both left-back and centre-back and a new striker. Additionally, they seek a backup goalkeeper to David Raya, who will be signed permanently for £27 million when the transfer window opens, provided Aaron Ramsdale’s desire to leave is granted.

Last summer, Arsenal broke their transfer record to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for £105 million. Rice has proven to be a valuable addition, and finding a partner for him in midfield is a top priority this summer.

Thomas Partey’s contract expires in the summer of 2025, and despite Arteta’s public support, Arsenal might sell the 30-year-old if a suitable offer arises, following an injury-plagued 2023/24 season. Consequently, Martin Zubimendi and Douglas Luiz are among the high-profile targets to pair with Rice in midfield next season.

However, recent reports from Spain suggest Arteta has his sights set on a different type of player: Real Madrid’s playmaker, Brahim Diaz. The once-capped Spanish attacking midfielder, who recently switched international allegiance to Morocco, could be poised for a high-profile move to Arsenal.

Diaz is familiar with English football, having played for Manchester City from 2016 to 2019, albeit making only 15 appearances before transferring to Real Madrid in a £22 million deal. Struggling to secure a regular spot at the Bernabeu, he spent the 2020/21 season on loan at AC Milan, a stint extended for two additional seasons.

This season, Diaz made a significant impact for Real Madrid, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists in 44 appearances across all competitions. However, with the arrival of Endrick and Kylian Mbappe, competition for starting positions has intensified, making Diaz a potential candidate for transfer if a substantial offer is made.

Arsenal is considering financing the Diaz signing by offloading a £30 million-rated player back to his former club. This strategy could facilitate the acquisition of Diaz, providing Arsenal with a versatile and experienced player who can add creativity and depth to their squad.

Arteta’s pursuit of Diaz highlights Arsenal’s ambition to strengthen their squad and challenge for top honours in the upcoming season. By addressing key areas and adding quality players like Diaz, Arsenal aims to close the gap with Manchester City and achieve greater success domestically and in Europe.

As the transfer window approaches, Arsenal fans will be eager to see how Arteta and Edu’s plans unfold and whether Diaz will be the next high-profile signing to join the Emirates Stadium. The club’s proactive approach in the transfer market suggests an exciting summer ahead for the Gunners.
