Kai Havertz etched his name in history during Arsenal’s dominant 6-0 victory over Sheffield United on Monday evening. The German international secured Arsenal’s fourth goal within the opening 25 minutes at Bramall Lane, adding to his tally of eight goals across all competitions for the Gunners.

While Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Declan Rice, and Ben White also found the net, it was Havertz’s strike that marked a significant milestone. His precise finish past Ivo Grbic marked the 150,000th goal in the history of English top-flight football, as reported by Sky Sports.

This achievement holds particular significance for the former Chelsea forward, who has found his stride following a £65 million transfer last summer. Arsenal’s commanding lead of 5-0 at halftime was further extended by White’s exceptional long-range effort in the 58th minute, sealing their historic triumph.

In securing yet another resounding victory, Arsenal etched their name in the annals of English football. They became the first team in history to score at least five goals in three consecutive away matches.

Their formidable form began with a five-goal haul against Burnley, followed by a stunning 6-0 victory over West Ham at the London Stadium the previous week. The inevitability of their success was evident against Sheffield United, who now hold the unwanted record of being the first team in English football league history to concede at least five goals in four consecutive home games across all competitions.

Arsenal’s resurgence has been nothing short of remarkable since their mid-season sojourn in Dubai, securing victory in their last seven league outings.

Manager Mikel Arteta expressed his satisfaction, citing the team’s positivity, quality, and determination, which have propelled them to their current form. He emphasized the team’s belief in continuous improvement and maintaining focus until the end of the season.

The resounding victory against Sheffield United not only demonstrated Arsenal’s prowess but also set a new benchmark in English football history. As they continue their campaign, with a crucial Champions League clash against Porto and a Premier League encounter against Brentford on the horizon, Arsenal will look to maintain their momentum and build upon their historic achievements.
