Arsenal has purportedly established their valuation for midfielder Thomas Partey ahead of the forthcoming summer transfer window. The 30-year-old Ghanaian midfielder arrived at the Emirates Stadium from Atletico Madrid in October 2020 for a reported fee of £45 million, amassing a total of 104 appearances across various competitions since his acquisition.

Initially, Partey featured prominently as a key figure under the stewardship of manager Mikel Arteta, notably contributing to Arsenal’s securing of Champions League qualification with a second-place finish in the Premier League last season.

However, injuries and the influx of new arrivals, including the impressive Declan Rice, have seen Partey’s prominence diminish this term. Hindered by groin and hamstring injuries, the midfielder has been limited to just five appearances across all competitions this campaign, a stark contrast to his previous involvement.

Beginning the season in an unconventional role as a hybrid right-back transitioning into midfield, Partey’s last appearance for Arsenal dates back to October of last year, coinciding with his absence from Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign.

Recent reports indicate that Arsenal is growing increasingly frustrated with Partey’s injury woes and may be inclined to offload him during the upcoming transfer window. Fichajes suggests that the club would consider offers as low as €15 million (£12.8 million) for the midfielder.

In light of Arsenal’s purported readiness to part ways with Partey, Serie A powerhouse Juventus has emerged as a potential destination for the Ghanaian, with manager Maximiliano Allegri reportedly eager to reignite the midfielder’s career in Italy. Amidst the uncertainty surrounding Partey’s future, Arsenal manager Arteta is reportedly keen on securing an extension for Jorginho’s contract beyond the current season.

Although discussions regarding a new deal for Jorginho have yet to commence, Arteta commended the Italian midfielder for his stellar performance in a recent victory over Premier League title contenders Liverpool. With less than 18 months remaining on his contract, the potential sale of Partey could serve as a means for Arsenal to bolster their transfer kitty for summer acquisitions, with the acquisition of a new striker believed to be a priority.
